Oisin: son of the great leader Fion mac Cumhail and the goddess Sadb. Oisin means 'little deer' and refers to the tale of his mother who was turned into a deer by a druid. Fionn came upon her whilst hunting and she returned to human form and became pregnant with his child. She was then turned back into a deer and seven years later Fionn found his naked son on Ben Bulben.
